Our Yorkshire Farm's Amanda Owen gets glam makeover as she heads to town for haircut

Our Yorkshire Farm star Amanda Owen left her animals behind to head into town this weekend to get a glam makeover.

The telly star, 46, is used to getting grimey as she looks after her animals on her farm but she has taken some time out to pamper herself.

Amanda, who is a mum of nine, headed to the salon to get a hair cut and shared pictures of her makeover on her social media pages.

She thanked her stylist for her new look and joked she's now going back to "buzz cuts" as she continues sheep shearing season.

Amanda wrote: "An appointment at the salon.... I got my hair cut the other day by the talented stylist Jack Andreou...Back on’t farm now so only buzzcuts now available."

Fans rushed to comment on her post, with one suggesting Amanda's husband Clive might also be due for a trim.

They wrote: "How come we never see photos of Clive, time for him to have a make over as well, he bloody earns it."

Amanda then replied: "He hates social media & the online news stuff and doesn’t want to be on it. That’s his choice."

The telly star has been showing off a black eye recently after she got headbutted by a sheep during shearing.

She shared a picture of herself shearing a sheep, and at the end of the video she was shown with a nasty bruise over one eye.

She captioned the clip: "Eat, sleep, sheep, repeat. (Part II)...

"*Actually I’ve been out of action…the very last frame might enlighten*is used to an occupational hazard or two."

Amanda later shared a selfie with her sheepdog, sporting an obvious black eye as she put on a smile for the photograph.

Alongside the snap, she wrote: "Injured in the line of duty. *Head-butted by a sheep* #shepherdess #farm #sheepdog."

Another picture showed her putting an ice pack on her injured face.

She previously admitted she's been suffering sleepless nights due to worry over the pandemic hitting her business.

However, she's remained hard at work tending to her animals and looking after her nine kids.

Amanda told The Mirror: "She added: "Having nine kids at home is not continuative with good sleep patterns, I can tell you. I mean, you've got all the issues with homeschooling and questioning yourself about what is going to happen to the world and whether you're doing the right thing.

"Everybody has been affected. There are no two people that are alike and during this past year, there has been no blue print on how to cope and quite often, that manifests itself with sleepless nights.

"I've been laid there, doomscrolling and worrying about what the future held. It's been terrible."
