Everton fans have shared their reaction to the decision to part ways with Marco Silva, which came in the aftermath of a 5-2 Merseyside derby defeat to Liverpool .
That loss, along with results elsewhere on Wednesday evening, left Everton sat in the relegation zone after 15 matches - with a daunting run of fixtures on the horizon.
Hosting Chelsea this weekend, Everton then face matches against Manchester United and Arsenal, as well as testing clashes with the likes of Burnley and Newcastle United before the New Year.
As such, a significant upturn in results is required for the club to push away from the bottom three and whoever comes in to take the reigns has a real job on their hands.
