LUDHIANA: Union minister for Culture Meenakshi Lekhi while campaigning in favour of BJP candidate from North constituency Parveen Bansal claimed that their main aim is to make Punjab number 1 state if they come to power.
She claimed that they are proud that facilities like Golden Gate Amritsar, road network, AIIMS hospital, smart city project and airport were provided by the Central government in Punjab.
While taking a dig at Akali Dal she said, "We always put Akali Dal ahead but even Akali Dal failed to do development which was actually required here. The Congress has damaged Punjab badly and has always played with the sentiments of the people."
She attacked Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and said, "Kejriwal has set a record of lying, only to fool the people of Punjab while the people in Delhi now want to give a chance to BJP as only the BJP can work for development and prosperity in every state of the country." She said at this time North constituency candidate Parveen Bansal has assured the people that if given a chance then much needed development will be done in this constituency in five years. North constituency is in very bad condition.
Meanwhile Bansal claimed that he will try to bring some hospital or government college in this constituency which has not been done in the past 25 years.
