The makers of a Paisley-set Victorian crime drama reckon folk will think they’ve spent MILLIONS of pounds on it.
But the budget for the first episode of ‘A True Mismatch’ was a tiny £3,500 funded entirely by donations.

Daniel Reynolds, the principal actor and co-writer, is continuing to work with the team in post production.
Filming took place in May in Paisley and other old world locations including Kilbarchan and Quarriers Village.
And Johnstone-based Daniel said: “We are working hard on hopefully releasing it at the end of August.
“However we have nothing confirmed yet and there could be some slight delays.
“Episode 1 is looking amazing and people will think we have spent millions on it.
“Its great to see what can be done when a community of people come together and create something special.
“We are buzzing for everyone to see it.”
The crew has just filmed the title sequence at the Sma’ Shot Cottages, which will be added to the completed production.

The story features Daniel as Harry Shaw, the leader of a gang of pick pockets.
While the precise story-line has remained a secret, the drama revolves around the interaction between the vagabonds and the elite of London society.
More than £5,100 has been raised through crowdfunding, enough to get a second episode underway.

Key locations at Oakshaw and Sma’ Shot Cottages were sealed off from the public to allow filming.
Paisley was chosen for its historic architecture and proved to be a great double for the streets of 1900s London.

Daniel and director Kriss Scott have been adding value to the filming with post-production techniques they believe helps it look big budget rather than a shoestring.
The episode was a debut for a pair of Johnstone lads Kayden Weir,12, and eight-year-old Kayden Mclay.
Episode one is designed as a showcase and will be streamed on Amazon Prime Video in a bid to try and land a film deal and let people see it.
Daniel said: “We cannot wait for people to see what we have.
“The first episode is a pilot and grabs you quite early on, as it can been seen on its own.
“But you do know there is going to be an ongoing story.
“There is a real cliffhanger at the end.”
