Our Newcastle United history podcast series: Chronicled

How much do you know about your football club? Did you know their story began in 1881 rather than 1892? Do you know they played in blue, then red before black and white? Learn about the fabric of your team via our new history series.

Chronicled: The History of NUFC ran as weekly series on our Everything Is Black and White Podcast platform, co-hosted by Matt Ketchell and the club's official historian Paul Joannou.

Each week we released 30-minute episodes covering all the historical eras of the club from 1881 to 2021. The episode list is below with links to each individual chapter:

1. 1881-82: Stanley FC are formed in Byker

2. 1892-93: Newcastle East End takeover at SJP following the demise of West End

3. 1893-98: NUFC promoted to the top division

4. 1904-05: Win the league, but lose the FA Cup
