Our Liverpool: Look back at an incredible day as Liverpool celebrated Chinese New Year

Hello and welcome to the Monday morning instalment of 'Our Liverpool.'

Twice a day, myself and other colleagues will be rounding up the biggest talking points and the best ECHO content. It's a cold and miserable start to the morning, so why not relive an incredible day in the city centre with 20 of the best photographs from Chinese New Year.

The city celebrated the Year of the Rabbit with live music, performances and plenty of food, before finishing off with a stunning fire finale from Liverpool-based group Bring The Fire.

Motorway closures

Be sure to check before you travel this week. ECHO reporter Abigail Nicholson has rounded-up all of this week's motorway closures. There will be weekend closures overnight on the M6, M53, M56 and M57 which are expected to cause delays for motorists. Read the full round-up here.

'Exploited' mum

ECHO court reporter Gemma Bradley was in court last week as a mum was handed a six month sentence suspended for 12 months, and was ordered to complete 15 days of rehabilitation activities. Valerie Doran was found guilty of being involved in money laundering at trial after texts revealed her involvement. Read the full story here.
