Our House's Martin Compston leaves viewers on edge with 'stress' warning before first episode

Martin Compston left viewers on edge and speculating what's to come from Our House as he issued a 'stress' warning about the new thriller.

Line of Duty and The Nest star Martin takes a leading role in the ITV drama, with adverts for it on heavy rotation over the past month.

Martin , who is joined in the Our House cast by Tuppence Middleton, plays Bram Lawson, whose wife Fi desperately tries to contact, after arriving home to see strangers moving in.

With the rug pulled from under her, Fi can't get in touch with Bram as the new owners insist that them purchasing the house was all done without any dodgy dealings.

Our House is not a true story, but based on the award-winning novel of the same by Louise Candlish.

Expectations are high for its launch and the good news for viewers who get hooked on it straight away is that, like Hillsbrough drama Anne did in January, it will air over four consecutive nights this week, ending on Thursday.

And, addressing that, Our House star Martin had a warning for viewers which hinted at some 'stressful' scenes.

Taking to Twitter on Monday afternoon, he wrote: "‘Our House’ starts tonight on @ITV 9PM. 4 episodes across the next 4 nights. Probably best to get over in a week with the stress that’s coming."

Reacting to his post, one of his many followers replied: "I will have do not disturb on my door for the 4 nights,i wont be missing this."

Another lightly concerned fan responded: "It’s giving me the fear already just thinking about the clips that have been on," with a third telling the Scottish actor: "This looks like it is going to be amazing, I'm so excited for this, not long to wait now."
