Always gripping viewing, Our Girl is back on the BBC on Tuesday night as Michelle Keegan reports for duty for a fourth and final time as Georgie Lane.
Former Coronation Street star Michelle announced her departure from the drama in January, saying: "I've had the most incredible four years on the show and I want to thank the BBC for giving me such an amazing opportunity.
"Playing Georgie has been a life changing role for me. I've loved every second of the adventure so it was a very hard decision to make not to return."
Before she waves goodbye to her army fatigues, Georgie will be back in the thick of the military action, with the new series set one year removed from 2 Section's tour of Bangladesh.
As 2 Section prepares to return to Afghanistan, Georgie is happy to focus on her training role in the UK and send trainee medic Mimi in her place – especially as she is privately haunted by thoughts of Elvis’s death. But with Mimi’s confidence dipping after some complex training exercises, Georgie is compelled to return to Afghanistan to support the new recruits.
