KURUKSHETRA: Father of Indian women’s hockey team captain Rani Rampal on Wednesday said that our daughters have not lost but won and the hope of a medal is still alive.
Rani's father Rampal, who lives in Shahabad town of Kurukshetra, said, "Our daughters will bounce back strongly in the future Olympic Games after learning from the mistakes that they could have made during the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. They will improve their mistakes if any."
Rampal was reacting after the Indian women's hockey team lost 1-2 to Argentina in the semi-final match. They will next play against Great Britain in the bronze medal match.
"We are happy for our daughters who reached the highest level of sports which was not an easy task and our hope for the medal is still alive. Loss or victory is a part of the game and we have not left hope. We are praying for the medal and giving the message of playing with bravery to the team. The girls have played remarkably. The performance of both the teams was good and the one which played best stood out victorious," said Rani's father Rampal.
Father of Navneet Kaur, Buta Singh, and of Navjot Kaur, Satnam Singh also appreciated the Indian women’s hockey team for their performance and hoped that the girls will bounce back and bring home the bronze medal.
