Our big Eat Out To Help Out survey - which Glasgow restaurants will you be visiting this August

Eat Out To Help Out launches today, allowing hundreds of Glasgow restaurants to offer 50% off meals with backing from the UK Government in order to boost the hospitality sector.

It's not without its controversies, particularly as Scotland sees small spikes in coronavirus cases traced back to pubs and restaurants in recent days - but for anyone looking to get out of the house and support local businesses, the initiative has been welcomed.

The scheme applies to participating restaurants - here's our list of them in Glasgow as well as a UK postcode search to find places near you - and allows a maximum of £10 discount per head for tables booked Monday to Wednesday each week in August.

You don't need a voucher to take part - but you may need to book ahead, as with many food and drink establishments at the moment.

The question is: will you be taking part in Eat Out To Help Out this month?

We're curious as to how many Glaswegians are signing up for a cheap meal out - which is why we're launching a survey to hear your thoughts on the matter.

Fill in your answers above and let us know where, if anywhere, you're heading in August - and how often you plan to take advantage while the government scheme is on offer.
