Oumar Niasse aims dig at Ronald Koeman after Everton beat Liverpool

Oumar Niasse declared 'what a week' after Everton beat Liverpool at Anfield and former manager Ronald Koeman lost 4-1 at home to PSG in the Champions League while manager of Barcelona.

Koeman exiled Niasse while in charge of Everton - infamously stripping him of his first-team locker and demoting him to under-23 action - before performing a u-turn and returning him to the senior squad.

Niasse scored in Koeman's final match in charge against Arsenal in 2017.

And he went on to play under David Unsworth, Sam Allardyce, Marco Silva, Duncan Ferguson and Carlo Ancelotti.

Taking to Instagram after Everton beat Liverpool 2-0 on Saturday, Niasse shared a screenshot of the scoreboards at both Anfield and the Nou Camp.

His comment simply said: 'What a week'.

The Blues prevailed at Anfield this evening thanks to an early goal from Richarlison and a second-half penalty converted by Gylfi Sigurdsson.

The result leaves Everton in seventh place, level on points with Liverpool but behind on goal difference.

Ancelotti's men do, however, have a game in hand on the neighbours.

They are back in action on March 1st at home to Southampton.

Niasse remains a free agent after being released by Everton in the summer.
