Otter 'gives away identity' after dropping huge clue on The Masked Singer

The Masked Singer fans are convinced they've rumbled Otter as a top comedienne after they "gave their identity away".

On tonight's show, Otter performed another track in a bid to stay in the ITV competition and keep their mask firmly on. At the end of the track, they even fell onto the floor and needed host Joel Dommett and panel member Mo Gilligan help them up.

However, fans of the show are convinced they know who is behind the mask after they gave their identity away following their performance by sharing one of their character's most popular and well known catchphrases.

One wrote: "Otter's end quote. "Am I bothered though" makes me think Catherine Tate #MaskedSingerUK," as a second penned: "Am I bovered.. if Otter is Catherine Tate she just gave herself away. #MaskedSingerUK."

A third wrote: " #MaskedSingerUK Changed my mind otter is Catherine Tate she just gave it away."

However, some thought the inclusion of the quote made it too obvious.

"people guessing Catherine Tate, like she would quote her famous " Am I boverd?" if it was actually her," they wrote.

Otter wowed the judges in the first week with their performance of Baywatch's track I'm Always Here. In their clue package, they appeared at a waterpark and described themselves as a "naturally curious" creature.

"Otters are naturally curious creatures and just a little bit naughty. Well played for! Although you might have seen me in more serious lights, you could say I'm especially known for my resilience," they said, "I can survive in places a lot couldn't. But who am I? Mate, I am out of this world! Tonight you better get your notepads ready because you're going to want my autograph."

To also give some clues about their identity, they had a riddle to share with the panel - which is made up of Davina McCall, Jonathan Ross, Mo Gilligan and - which said: "Children, some say, should be seen and not heard, but of this otter, I'd say, opposite is the word."

Guesses from viewers have included legendary singer Kate Bush, comedienne Daisy May Cooper as well as former Love Island host Laura Whitmore. However, now fans are sure it must be the Doctor Who star and comedienne.
