Does music need a sense of place? Dingle in Co Kerry, Ireland, is situated at the westernmost point in Europe and is home to the annual Other Voices festival, now in its 10th year. Musician and festival organiser Philip King tells Caspar Llewellyn Smith about the inspiration musicians find there, the relationship between Irish and American music and the impact of technology on music as a living, breathing thing.
