Top women's clothing retailer & Other Stories announce first Scottish store in Edinburgh St James

Popular women's clothing store & Other Stories is set to open its first Scottish shop in Edinburgh St James later this year.

The new shopping centre will span five floors when it opens in October, and is set to turn the capital into a prime shopping destination- with over 20 million visitors expected a year.

A number of big name brands, including Zara and Mango, have already confirmed they will taking up units at Edinburgh St James and the new year has brought 15 new exciting signings.

These include:

  • A 27,000 sq ft  H&M store across two floors
  • & Other Stories will occupy a a 5,900 sq ft store
  • Russell & Bromley will be on the third floor
  • JD Sports
  • Goldsmiths will open a store, as well as a dedicated Breitling and Omega boutique.
  • Pandora
  • Hotel Chocolat
  • Sunglass Hut

The new brands join Zara, Bershka, Pull & Bear, Stradivarius, Next, Boots, O2, Superdrug, Three, The Perfume Shop and Halifax Bank of Scotland.

In addition to retail, the development will become home to 30 new restaurants which now include Five Guys, Edinburgh-based @pizza and Yo! Sushi, with a brand new concept restaurant Yo! To Go.

"Theatrical" cocktail bar and restaurant The Alchemist are also opening their first Scottish venue at Edinburgh St James Centre.

Chris Pyne, Leasing Director at Edinburgh St James, commented: “These latest 15 signings underline our vision for Edinburgh St James which is to bring greater choice to both the residents of and visitors to Edinburgh. 

"Our vision is to secure brands new to the city and Scotland, and significantly larger stores showcasing the most comprehensive product ranges available, within the very best of retail design and innovation.”

"We are delighted to have secured this space for a new Russell & Bromley store in Scotland in this exciting and highly relevant development.” 

Princes Street could be set to become an area for cafes and restaurants amid fears that the street could be set for a rocky future when shops leave to occupy units in the new St James' Centre, with big name brands like Zara and New Look having already confirmed.
