The other chasers have welcomed Darragh Ennis to their clan with open arms since he was announced as the show's new recruit.
Irish star Darragh will be the sixth Chaser joining the likes of Anne Hegarty and Paul Sinha to battle against teams to stop them winning money in the Bradley Walsh presented show.
Brainy Darragh is the first new chaser to be appointed since X Factor’s Jenny Ryan joined in 2015.
Darragh is a post doctoral researcher at Oxford Uni and previously became a viral sensation when he appeared in the show in March 2017.
Announcing his arrival to the show on Twitter Darragh said: "I'm really excited to be the 6th chaser on #TheChase. I've been working hard on this for a while now and can't wait for my episodes to air. Well the ones I win anyway."
Paul Sinha, one of the most well-known chasers, welcomed the Dubliner and told the funny and honest story about when they were guessing who the new chaser will be.
Paul tweeted: "The night before they producers told us, Anne and Mark and I sat at dinner and pondered 'Could it be a former contestant'.
"I said, 'If it is, the best player I faced was an Irish guy who looked a bit like Micky Flanagan'. Welcome to the club mate."
Mark Labbett, otherwise known as The Beast, also welcomed the new recruit but warned him he'd have his work cut out.
Mark tweeted: "Welcome to the pros kid. If you thought you were working hard before, you ain’t seen nothing yet :) To be a winner, train like the Sinha."
