A woman has been accused of drugging and sexually assaulting a woman with an intellectual disability on the Central Coast.
It is alleged the woman, who was employed as an occupational therapist, groomed the 38-year-old woman with an intellectual disability over the course of eight months at a home in Budgewoi, encouraging her to have a sexual relationship, NSW Police said.
On one occasion the woman gave the victim prescription medication which made her sick and unable to recall what occurred, NSW Police said.
On Friday, September 13, police searched the occupational therapist's home, seizing several items. About 3.30pm on Friday she attended Wyong police station, where she was arrested, police said.
She was charged with two counts of sexual intercourse with person with intellectual disability and one count of use intoxicating substance to commit indictable offence.
She was granted conditional bail and will face Wyong Local Court on October 2.
