OSU commit Kyle McCord invited to 5-Star Challenge, what it all means

Ohio State Buckeyes 2021 commit Kyle McCord has received an invite to the Rivals 100 Five-Star Challenge.

This is huge.

It can not be understated how important this invite is for McCord. This event is supposed to showcase the top-100 high school players and isn’t typically offered to rising seniors.

That said, St. Joseph’s Prep (Penn.) High School quarterback announced his intent to attend the challenge on Twitter. As McCord says, the challenge, which is sponsored by Addidas, will be located in Atlanta.

McCord chose Ohio State over other Big Ten colleges like Michigan and Penn State after only visiting Columbus, State College and Piscataway. In the end, McCord — whose dad played quarterback at Rutgers — committed his talents to OSU.

Per Eleven Warriors, the youngest OSU commit is just the second non-senior to receive an invite to the illustrious event this year.
