OSSSC CRE-2025 exam deferred due to NEET-UG 2026; check new exam date and admit card release schedule

The Odisha Subordinate Staff Selection Commission has postponed the written examination under the Combined Recruitment Examination (CRE)-2025. The examination, originally scheduled for June 20, 2026, will now be conducted on June 28, 2026.

According to the commission, the decision was taken due to unavoidable circumstances arising from the NEET (UG) 2026 examination. The revised schedule applies to candidates appearing for the posts of Revenue Inspector (RI), Assistant Revenue Inspector (ARI), Amin, ICDS Supervisor and Statistical Field Surveyor (SFS).

Official notice issued

The commission has released an official notification regarding the postponement on its website. Candidates preparing for the examination can access the detailed notice through the official OSSSC portal.

With the change in schedule, candidates will have an additional eight days to prepare for the examination. The commission has stated that apart from the revised examination date, all other aspects of the recruitment process will remain unchanged.

Fresh admit cards to be released

Following the postponement, OSSSC will issue revised admit cards for all candidates. The new admission letters will be made available for download from June 24, 2026.

Candidates have been advised to download the updated admit card and verify all details mentioned in it before appearing for the examination.

How to download OSSSC CRE-2025 admit card

Candidates can access their revised admit cards by following these steps:

  • Visit the official OSSSC website.
  • Click on the admit card section available on the homepage.
  • Select the relevant CRE-2025 examination link.
  • Enter the User ID and Password.
  • Submit the details to view the admit card.
  • Download and print a copy for future reference.

Examination pattern unchanged

The commission has clarified that the examination pattern and format will remain the same despite the postponement. All instructions, eligibility criteria and terms and conditions mentioned in previous notifications will continue to apply for the rescheduled examination.
