Ospreys prop Nicky Thomas has signed for Gallagher Premiership side Wasps on a short term deal.
The former Wales under-20s tight-head will provide Lee Blackett with some much-needed cover in a position that has been hit by injury and suspension.
Thomas arrived at the Ospreys last summer via Bristol Bears, having spent three years at the Scarlets prior to a one-year stint at Ashton Gate.
But the 26-year-old is yet to feature for Toby Booth's side, with Ma'afu Fia and Tom Botha ever present this term. The region have also signed Wales international Tomas Francis for next season.
Wasps boss Blackett said: “With a number of our tighthead props unavailable to us, we needed to bring in some more cover.
“Nicky is an experienced player, who will add a lot to our group. We look forward to welcoming him to the club.
“We’d like to say a big thank you to Toby Booth and everyone at Ospreys for allowing us to take Nicky on loan.”
