People are expressing mixed reactions to Brad Pitt’s new hairstyle after the actor appeared at the 2021 Oscars with a small ponytail.
On Sunday, the 57-year-old arrived at the awards ceremony to present the award for Best Supporting Actress.
However, while some viewers were pleased to see the star, numerous others were distracted by the hairstyle Pitt was sporting, with many taken aback by the longer hair.
On Twitter, people haven’t held back regarding their distaste for the look, with one person tweeting: “Brad Pitt’s ponytail has instantly ruined my night.”
“Brad Pitt little ponytail JUMPSCARE,” another person tweeted, referencing the shock associated with the actor’s hair reveal.
Someone else wrote: “That was really sweet of Youn Yuh-jung to flirt with Brad Pitt despite his ponytail. #oscars,” referring to the South Korean actress’s acceptance speech, during which she said: “Mr Brad Pitt, finally, nice to meet you.”
While there were those who didn’t support the ponytail, other viewers found the hairstyle appealing on the actor.
“Just when I thought I couldn’t find Brad Pitt more attractive, he shows up to the Oscars with a mustache and ponytail,” one person tweeted, while another said: “Brad Pitt has a ponytail and I’m slightly worried about how into it I am.”
While the actor’s appearance at the Oscars was the first experience that many fans have had with his ponytail, Pitt has actually had the hairstyle since at least February, with paparazzi photos taken on 25 February showing the Oscar-winner with his hair pulled back.
