The Oscars 2019 'honest posters' are more brutal than ever

Awards season doesn’t truly begin until the arrival of the Honest Posters – and this year’s batch is better than ever.

The Shiznit‘s annual takedown of all the films in contention for Oscars doesn’t disappoint, and this year’s selection is no different.-

The posters that have been given an honest remix include Roma and The Favourite – both of which have received 10 Oscar nominations – as well as A Star is Born, Spike Lee’s BlacKkKlansman and Can You Ever Forgive Me?, which scored nominations for Melissa McCarthy and Richard E Grant (check his touching reaction here).

Controversial Best Picture nominees Bohemian Rhapsody and Green Book are also featured.

The former hints at the sexual allegations made against the film’s original director, Bryan Singer, while the recent news surrounding Green Book‘s creative team – co-writer Nick Vallelonga and director Peter Farrelly – provided the inspiration for that one.

You can see a selection below but will be able to find the full list here.
