- The film, co-directed by David Borenstein and Pavel Talankin, features footage secretly recorded by Talankin showing "patriotic" lessons in Russian schools justifying the war in Ukraine.
- The Chelyabinsk court ruled that the documentary promotes "negative attitudes" towards the government and the war, and contains symbols deemed extremist.
- Prosecutors also cited the filming of schoolchildren without parental consent as a reason for the ban, a concern echoed by Russia’s presidential human rights council.
- The ban prohibits the documentary's distribution on streaming platforms and other channels, following its premiere at the Sundance Film Festival and subsequent awards.
