Oscar Nominees Luncheon: Lady Gaga, Bradley Cooper and Glenn Close hit the red carpet ahead of the 2019 Academy Awards

On Monday the 91st Academy Awards Nominees luncheon saw A-listers come out in force, with stars from Lady Gaga to Bradley Cooper, Glenn Close to Regina King all in attendance.

A sophisticated affair, floor-length gowns, high-necks and long sleeves dominated the red carpet looks.

A Louis Vuitton Victoriana-style white gown was the choice for Lady Gaga, twice nominated for her role in A Star Is Born, in the Best Actress and Best Original Song categories.

Best Supporting Actress nominee Rachel Weisz also opted for a white, high-neck dress, with ruffle details, from the Marc Jacobs Spring 2019 collection, whilst fellow Best Supporting Actress nominee, Regina King, wore a pink satin Prada dress with floral embellishments.

Glenn Close – the most nominated actor never to have won an Academy Award, with seven nominations to date – bucked the trend with a tailored suit in powder blue, teamed with a matching pussy-bow shirt.

It was emerald green for Amy Adams, an Oscar De La Renta creation, whilst a sophisticated three-piece suit was the choice for Best Actor hopeful Bradley Cooper, who, when asked how he felt about his upcoming live performance of 'Shallow' at the Oscars, confessed to E! News: "I'm sure I'll be terrified".

One star who was clearly thrilled at the wall-to-wall stars was Richard E. Grant, who happily posted selfies from the event.

The luncheon is an annual event, hosted at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles' Beverly Hills. And with the Oscars just weeks away now, we can start looking forward to even more splendour on the style front when the nominees hit that red carpet on Sunday, February, 24.
