The 27-year-old makes the switch to England having spent his entire career in Spain, coming through the ranks at Barcelona’s prestigious La Masia academy before making his senior debut for the club in 2020.
After winning the Copa del Rey and going on to make 66 appearances for Barcelona, Mingueza moved to Celta Vigo in 2022.
Capable of playing anywhere across the backline, Mingueza’s development has seen him become a senior Spain international. He has four caps to his name and started the 2025 UEFA Nations League final against Portugal.
Mingueza said: “I’m really excited to be here. It’s an honour to join Crystal Palace and I can’t wait to see you at Selhurst Park.
“I think it's a really good place for me and for my family to be in London, and I'm really excited. I already want to start training and playing.
“I think it’s an exciting time. It’s something that made me want to come to Crystal Palace – the new coach, the way he plays and that the last few years at this club have been really good.
“I hope we can continue going on and we will try to win more trophies.”
"I’m a player who tries to find a good pass. I like to play a lot of passes first time. I like to drive forward and cross the ball.
“I believe I can defend higher and use my speed. But I’m excited for the supporters to get to know me and for me to show my best."
Mingueza’s European experience could help Palace in the Europa League next season after he was named in the competition’s team of the season for the 2025-26 campaign after helping Celta Vigo reach the quarter-finals.
On Mingueza's arrival in south London, Palace, chairman Steve Parish said: “We are delighted to welcome a player of Oscar's quality and character to the club.
“His track record speaks for itself, with experience at the highest level for both club and country.
“We believe he will be a fantastic fit for Crystal Palace.”
