Oscar has shown Kai Havertz the secret trick to igniting goal-scoring form at Chelsea

Kai Havertz has netted just ten goals for Chelsea across 53 appearances and should draw inspiration from former Blues midfielder Oscar to catalyse his goal-scoring endeavours, starting with Juventus.

Chelsea's £72 million signing from Bayer Leverkusen was uprooted from his childhood club in the midst of a harrowing global pandemic, taking a leap across the English channel to pursue his dream of playing for the Blues.

The 22-year-old struggled to hit the ground running following his star-studded move to west London last summer, but Havertz soon began to fulfil his potential in the twilight stages of the season, symbolic of his infamous Champions League winning goal.

However, despite wheeling away in victory in Porto, Havertz is yet to have built upon the foundations he lay against Manchester City in becoming a proficient goal-scoring midfielder for Chelsea.

But, notwithstanding the German's goal return, Havertz has been an affluent creator of chances, exuding a unique arrogance and lavishness on in possession - much like Oscar who also required a settling period before warranting his transfer fee with a flurry of goals.

Although Oscar didn't arrive at Stamford Bridge during a climate of humanitarian emergency or societal crisis, instead of in the wake of a Champions League triumph, the Brazilian's move can be likened to Havertz's.

Oscar arrived at Chelsea in 2012 from the Brazilian side Internacional for £28.8 million at the age of just 20-years-old, dealing with the emotional strain that follows when relocating to another country at such a young age, just like Havertz did.

The now 30-year-old endured a sustained period without a Premier League goal before a tie in the Champions League against Juventus surfaced, opening the door to new impetus.

Oscar went on to flourish against the Italian side by netting two decisive goals in the Blues' 2-2 draw which consequently propelled his Chelsea career to new heights.

The Brazilian midfielder went on to directly contribute in all but one of his side's remaining group stage ties before eventually opening his account in the Premier League a handful of games later.

He went on to 24 goal contributions that season, shining a light on the avenues of possibilities Havertz can explore should he eye emulating Oscar's metamorphosis triggered by an exciting display versus Juventus.
