Osaka Toin triumphs in Japan's 100th high school baseball championship

Osaka Toin players celebrate after beating Kanaashi Nogyo 13-2 in the final of the 100th National High School Baseball Championship at Koshien Stadium in Nishinomiya, Hyogo Prefecture, on Tuesday. Osaka Toin, representing northern Osaka, also won the national invitational tournament this spring. Its win at the summer tournament made it the first school to complete the high school double twice, following its feat in 2012. Kanaashi Nogyo, from Akita Prefecture, missed becoming the first school from the Tohoku region to win the national title.
