Orlando Scandrick signs with Eagles, not Vikings

The Vikings hosted a workout for veteran cornerback Orlando Scandrick as training camp kicked off.

Scandrick, however, won’t be joining the Vikings. On Saturday, he signed with the Philadelphia Eagles.

But per Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press, this wasn’t exactly a blow for the Vikings considering they didn’t off a contract to Scandrick.

A source said the Vikings did not make a contract offer to cornerback Orlando Scandrick, who signed Saturday with Philadelphia. Scandrick worked out with the Vikings last Wednesday.

The team also worked out veteran cornerback Morris Claiborne.

With Holton Hill now suspended for the first eight games of the 2019 season, the Vikings are in the market for cornerback depth. Don’t be surprised if the Vikings make a move on Claiborne, or if the team continues to work out players.
