Orlando Scandrick insinuates that Malcolm Jenkins was responsible for Zach Brown’s release

The Philadelphia Eagles locker room issues are being discussed in all of the Fox Sports 1 platforms on Friday, thanks to Orlando Scandrick, who’s now a member of the NFL media. Scandrick will likely never suit for an NFL team again after he blasted the Philadelphia Eagles for having a toxic locker room.

While appearing on FS1’s Undisputed with Skip and Shannon on Friday morning, Scandrick blasted Howie Roseman and Malcolm Jenkins. Scandrick ripped the Eagles captain for what he called a “lack of leadership.”

“When you wear the C on your jersey, it’s your job to bring guys along. It’s your job to sometimes you need to take the hard down, you need to take the hard job, and you need to bring the thing together. I don’t know if that’s the case.

“You hold out for a contract, you come in, you’re not really making any plays—like splash plays. Then you go down to Minnesota and you’re somehow supposed to be in the half of the field and you end up playing a crosser. That’s not a rookie we’re talking about here. That’s a two-time Super Bowl champ.”

Scandrick went on to call his release “scapegoat-ish” and said “where there’s smoke, there’s fire” about Eagles’ locker room.

On Friday before the Eagles final practice, Jenkins responded with force.

By the time Jenkins was finished responding, Scandrick had already arrived to Colin Cowherd’s couch to be a guest on The Herd. Scandrick again responded to his previous comments and Jenkins’s as well, suggesting that the Eagles captain was responsible for Zach Brown being released.

This Friday afternoon drama should unite the Eagles, who’ve lost two in a row and really need to defeat Buffalo to salvage their reason. Even with a 3-4 record, they’re just one game behind the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC East.
