Orlando Bubble: Former Warrior Harrison Barnes adds 10 points in Kings loss’ to Spurs

Despite the NBA’s restart fully underway in Orlando, the Golden State Warriors are home in the Bay Area. With the league’s worst record, the Warriors are one of eight teams on the outside of the NBA’s bubble.

As Golden State’s 2019-20 campaign officially closes, Warriors Wire is checking in on former Dubs at Disney World.

Over the first official full slate of games in the NBA Bubble, former Warriors were spread across the Orlando campus. In the Sacramento Kings opening tilt against the San Antonio Spurs, a trio of past Warriors suited up for the first time in four months.

Golden State’s 2007 first-round pick Marco Bellinelli recorded nine points in 15 minutes for San Antonio. For the Kings, former Warrior Harrison Barnes played 27 minutes, tallying 10 points on 4-of-5 shooting with seven boards, two steals and an assist. In 23 minutes off the bench for Sacramento, Kent Bazemore registered 11 boards, eight points, five assists and two steals.

Despite a close game in the final quarter, De’Aaron Fox’s career-high 39 points weren’t enough for the combination of Derrick White and DeMar DeRozan. White and DeRozan’s combined 53 points helped lead the Spurs to their first victory in the Orlando Bubble, 129-120.
