Orkopoulos on trial for 23 counts

DISGRACED former Swansea MP and ex-Lake Macquarie councillor Milton Orkopoulos will face trial over 23 offences including alleged sex offences on young boys in the 1990s. He is also accused of drug supply matters and one count of pervert the course of justice. He appeared via audio visual link in Newcastle Local Court on Wednesday where he pleaded not guilty. He made no application for bail. The matter will come back to the Newcastle District Court on May 19.
