The ticket designs for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics were unveiled by the organizing committee on Wednesday.
Pictograms for each sport are depicted on the tickets, which are based on the Games' four colors of red, indigo, light purple and dark green. The tickets have a somewhat Japanese-taste and soft-colored appearance.
There are 59 ticket designs for the Olympics in terms of the combination of colors and pictograms, and 25 designs for the Paralympics.
The official tickets include a hologram with security information of the booker to prevent counterfeiting.
In addition, two kinds of other tickets will be released -- one is an electric ticket displayable on a smartphone and other devices, the other is a printable ticket that can be printed at home or elsewhere. Purchasers can choose from either of the three options.
On Wednesday, the Tokyo Organizing Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games announced that applications for the second lottery of Paralympic ticket sales had started. Applications will be accepted until noon on Jan. 29 at the official sales site (https://ticket.tokyo2020.org/paralympic).
