The spectacular Holy Fair with Armed Forces and Pipes in the Park event will not go ahead this year, it's been revealed.
The annual event at Low Green has once again been shelved owning to the uncertainty surrounding outdoor gatherings amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
It's the second time in a year that organisers have been forced into a "difficult decision."
In 2020, the free event, organised by South Ayrshire Council, had to be pulled from the calendar due to lockdown restrictions.
It's a family favourite every summer for locals and visitors to Ayr with fairground rides, military attractions, stalls, dance arena, competitions and bagpipes galore.

A spokesperson for the organisers said: "Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we have taken the difficult decision to cancel this year’s Holy Fair with Armed Forces and Pipes in the Park event.
"The annual event, which normally takes place in June, has become a firm favourite, but the health and safety of our communities remains our top priority.
"We will still recognise Armed Forces Day online. Further details regarding this will be released at www.south-ayrshire.gov.uk/culture in due course."
