Why Montana Will Win
The Grizzlies have one of the best offenses in the FCS with a high-powered passing game, good ball control, and so far, excellent special teams with the best punting game in the FCS.
Oregon got its angst from the Auburn game out of the way against Nevada last week, and it has the Pac-12 opener against Stanford to follow. The Grizzles have the potential to be more than just pesky.
For all of the good things Oregon has done in the first two games. the run defense hasn’t been anything special so far, and the offense is struggling on third downs. Montana will keep pressing for a full four quarters with a decent enough defense to bog the Ducks down for a bit.
Why Oregon Will Win
Now that’s the Oregon we were all expecting.
That’s not South Dakota that the Ducks just ripped to shreds. That’s a Nevada team that beat Purdue in Week 1 and will probably go bowling.
Justin Herbert threw five touchdown passes, the offense came up with over 600 yards and 77 points, and it was total and complete domination by a team that’s going to be looking to prove a point going forward.
It’s not going to pull back just because it’s Montana – it’s going to go for the wow factor. It’s going to go for the splash. At least for a half, the Ducks are going to want to put on a show, and then Tyler Shough will come in and keep it all going in the second half to keep the fun going.

What’s Going To Happen
Montana will generate a few nice drives, and it’ll score a few points, but Oregon will put this away in the second quarter with three quick scoring drives.
