Oregon scores two first-quarter touchdowns against Colorado

Oregon was out and winging against Deion Sanders and Colorado on Saturday.

The Ducks led 13-0 late in the first quarter thanks to a pair of touchdowns.

On the second scoring drive, they got help from the Buffaloes who were called for a personal foul on a play that would have set up up a fourth down and then were offsides later in the drive.

The touchdown play that made the lead double digits saw Bo Nix look like was going to run before throwing a pass to Casey Kelly, who bulled his way into the end zone.

Oregon tried for two off its swinging-gate formation but the pass was incomplete.

Still, after 12 minutes, Oregon had 135 total yards to Colorado’s -1.

Noah Whittington had given the Ducks their first score on a short run.
