In the wake of the shooting that took the lives of nearly nine people inside the Umpqua Community college, members of the Rosenburg, Oregon community came together to mourn victims of the senseless tragedy.
People lit candles and gathered Thursday night at Rosenberg's Stewart Park.
UCC President Rita Cavin told the community to hide their anger during the service, the Los Angeles Times reports.
"Anger caused this; we can't have anger around this minute. We can rise above this pain and focus on helping each other."
