An Oregon couple was arrested after police discovered hundreds of eggs in their vehicle, following a third consecutive night of drive-by egg attacks targeting people experiencing homelessness.

In a Facebook update shared Friday, the Salem Police Department said officers responded to reports that individuals were "driving by and throwing eggs at homeless persons" for the third night in a row.

Officers located the suspect vehicle and found a 26-year-old man, a 20-year-old woman, and 225 eggs inside. According to the post, police also recovered "a considerable amount of broken eggs, discarded egg cartons, and bags of hard-boiled eggs" as evidence.

The couple was arrested and charged with intimidation based on bias against a person's housing status and disorderly conduct.

No further details were released.

The incident is the second attack on Salem's homeless population in as many months. In June, Tony Williams stabbed 12 people, including two staff members, at the Union Gospel Mission, a men's homeless shelter, CNN reported at the time. Fortunately, no one was killed.
