Ordinary home hides incredible mansion 26 feet underground with garden and pool

A truly unique home is on sale with an eye-watering price tag of more than £14 million - and it comes with an incredible twist.

A street view of the property location in Las Vegas may appear to show a very ordinary-looking home, but the one on the market is actually sitting 26 feet under the surface of the ground.

The five bedroom, six bathroom home was built in 1978 and is described as a '15,000sqft concrete and steel rectangular shaped doomsday bunker', which is accessed by a lift.

Photos of the home's sprawling underground garden show fake trees extending up to the bunker roof, with a swimming pool, dance floor, putting green and BBQ disguised as a rock.

Every wall is painted in incredible detail to resemble views of mountains, cityscapes, wildlife and even a garden path with visitors waiting at the gate in the distance.

With the garden receiving no natural light, it comes complete with settings to simulate day, dusk, dawn and night modes.

Moving 'inside', the pink and white themed kitchen, which may need a bit of a revamp, comes with loud pink curtains in front of a window looking out to a painting of a wooden structure, stream and waterwheel.

There's also a large dining area, a cinema room, bar, pool table and huge bedrooms - so there's plenty of space for visitors.

The pink theme remains consistent in many of the rooms, including a bathroom with a carpeted pink step leading to a sunken bath surrounded by marble pillars.

The description reads: "The famous Las Vegas underground house is actually a colossal 15,000sqft fortified underground doomsday bunker which has been disguised in great detail to look like and give the occupants the feel of being on an estate in several mountainous and lush areas around the world.

"The outdoor landscapes are illuminated by a four colour lighting system reproducing the time of day of your choosing.

"Pictures do not convey the vast spaciousness one feels as they step off of the elevator, just like one cannot feel the Grand Canyon by seeing it on pictures.

"This underground estate inside the bunker should be nominated the eighth wonder. It is just over two miles from the expanding Las Vegas strip."

For a cool $18,000,000 (£14.4m) you'll get all the furnishings, and one year of caretaker and upkeep is also included.

It's conveniently located close to a number of schools, the airport and it's a short trip to the buzzing Las Vegas strip of bars and casinos.

It's been on the market with Redfin for over a year but there might never be a better time to justify purchasing your own underground doomsday bunker.
