The latest season of OITNB included a touching tribute at the end of the penultimate episode.
The episode The Big House - which left fans heartbroken - ended with a dedication to Orange Is The New Black crew member Karen Reuter.
But who is Reuter and what role did she play on the series?
Karen Reuter actually had a hugely influential role as a key make-up artist on the series, being responsible for some classic looks such as Red's bold looks and Alex Vause's winged eyeliner, before becoming the head of the show's make-up department.
Sadly, Reuter passed away on January 24, 2019, just one month before the final season finished wrapping its filming.
Prior to working on Orange Is The New Black, Reuter worked on films such as Step Up 3D and other acclaimed television series such as HBO gangster drama The Sopranos.
Karen Reuter is much missed by the cast and crew of OITNB, with Red actress Kate Mulgrew sharing a tribute on Twitter to the actress not long after her passing.
Mulgrew wrote: "Farewell to a warm-eyed woman wearing low-slung dungarees and a wry smile at 6am, whose work ethic was surpassed only by her bravery, which she revealed through laughter, kindness, and a turning away from self."
Thankfully, Reuter's stunning work will live on for fans of the show who can check out seven seasons worth of her work on Netflix.
