Orange Is The New Black star Laura Prepon gives birth to her second child

Laura Prepon has welcomed her second child.

The Orange Is The New Black star shared her happy news with the world in a telling Twitter post on Wednesday accompanied with a picture of her newborn.

In the heartstrings-tugging snap, the mother could be seen kissing the little hand of her baby who she wrapped in her arms and blankets.

She added: "Welcoming home our new bundle of love. Overwhelmed with gratitude."

The brunette actress attached a number of heart emojis to her post.

In October, the American rose announced her pregnancy with the help of her two-year-old daughter Ella.

Laura has been married to her husband Ben Foster since they tied the knot in 2018.

The couple have been very much in love and now raise their two children at their home.

It was motherhood which shaped her role as a director.

Laura got hands-on with the directing process behind Orange Is The New Black as well as the acting side of things.

In July last year, the director said becoming a mother made her realise her job wasn't as stressful as protecting a little baby.

As a result, Laura said it took the pressure off while she was manning the cameras and running the team.

She told IBTIMES : “I feel like the thing that really actually changed my directing was becoming a mother, truthfully...

“For me, after becoming a mother, you’re so terrified and stressed out about protecting this little being that you’re obsessed with and that you love... And there was a lot of stress around that because I just didn’t know as a first-time mom.

“So when I directed after that I was like, ‘I know what real stress is now.’ I know what it actually means to be stressed and scared about keeping this little baby safe.”
