PTT Oil and Retail Business Plc (OR) joins forces with Imsub Global Cuisine Co., Ltd. (Imsub), the owner and operator of Japanese restaurant brands including Kouen Premium Buffet and ONO Sushi to increase the variety of food in PTT stations in Bangkok Metropolitan Region. The first branch of ONO Sushi will open at PTT Station, Bangna, Inbound.
Jiraphon Kawswat, OR’s President and Chief Executive Officer, presided over the signing ceremony for the share reservation agreement between Modulus Venture Co., Ltd. (Modulus), OR’s subsidiary and Imsub, the owner and operator of ONO Sushi, Kouen Premium Buffet, Yoong Khao Hom, Mootuahere and Dà Cuisine brands. A total investment of 192 million baht will be made in the acquisition of a 25% stake. Also present at the signing ceremony at Kouen Premium Buffet @ I’m Park building were co-signers Rajsuda Rungsiyakull, OR Senior Executive Vice President, assigned as ORion Project Director of Modulus, and Teerapat Lertsiriprapa, Imsub’s Chief Executive Officer.
Rajsuda expressed great confidence in the collaboration between OR and Imsub: “Imsub is very well-seasoned in the food industry with over seven years of experience. Its operation of five restaurant brands, comprising two Japanese, two Thai and one Chinese brands, has seen consistent growth. This marks a significant step for OR’s mobility and lifestyle segment, building on OR’s food business expertise that is part of our business strategy to accommodate all lifestyle needs. Plus, it will also provide a perfect opportunity for prospective Thai-national SMEs to thrive at scale at domestic and international levels.
“The initial phrase aims to increase ONO Sushi branches as the brand’s strength resides in the accessibility of its menus and pricing which starts at only at 10 baht. The restaurant also offers varieties of Donburi, a convenient and tasty menu suitable for drivers on the road. The first ONO Sushi to be built will be at a PTT station in the Bangna Inbound area. Future expansions in Bangkok and vicinities are to be confirmed. Imsub’s seven years of experience and accumulated expertise will be crucial in operating the ONO Sushi brand and other restaurants in PTT stations and OR’s commercial areas going forward.”
