The new football season finally kicks off on Friday night, as Liverpool take on Norwich City in the first Premier League game.
To celebrate, eye specialist Optical Express is offering free eye tests to football fans, and it’s safe to say we all know somebody who could do with one.
If you want to get your hands on a free eye test, all you need to do is sign up for the deal on the Optical Express website.

Once you’ve done this, you’ll be sent your own barcode via email. Then all you need to do is either print it off or make sure you’ve got it saved digitally to show one of the advisors in store.
Optical Express’ eye tests usually cost around £20 (location and store dependent), so taking advantage of the offer could save you some serious pennies – or at least enough to buy a couple of rounds to either celebrate or commiserate.
The money-saving doesn’t stop there, either, as the retailer is also offering 25% off glasses and sunglasses – so you won’t need to be on Harry Maguire’s wage to look stylish.
Students and over 60’s get 25% off complete glasses as standard, so if you don’t fall under these categories, it’s a good chance to save some dough.

The Optical Express offer kicked off on August 9, and is only running until August 12 – so if you want a piece of the action, you’ll have to be quick.
There are over 100 Optical Express branches across the country, and you can find your local store by using the online clinic finder here .
