Oprah Winfrey will interview Meghan Markle and Prince Harry for a “wide-ranging” TV segment.

CBS announced the upcoming primetime special. The interview – the first they’ve given since stepping back from royal duties last year – is scheduled to air on 7 March. It will last for 90 minutes between 8 and 9.30pm ET/PT.

“Winfrey will speak with Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex, in a wide-ranging interview, covering everything from stepping into life as a royal, marriage, motherhood, philanthropic work to how she is handling life under intense public pressure,” CBS told Reuters in a statement.

“Later, the two are joined by Prince Harry as they speak about their move to the United States and their future hopes and dreams for their expanding family.”

The interview is being produced by Harpo Productions, the company founded by Winfrey in 1986.

Winfrey was one of many A-listers who attended Harry and Meghan’s wedding in 2018.

The news comes on the heels of the couple’s announcement that they’re expecting their second child. Their first child, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, was born in May 2019.

Harry and Meghan moved to Montecito, California, after stepping down from royal duties.

They signed a deal with Netflix last year to produce a variety of programmes with a focus on “content that informs but also gives hope”.
