Jong-hyun competes with Jung-shin
Watching two people with different personalities work together can be a lot of fun. This was certainly the case at the event 2018 Lee Jong-hyun & Lee Jung-shin 1st Fan Meeting: J VS J in Bangkok. The 28-year-old Jong-hyun and 26-year-old Jung-shin are bandmates in the Korean pop-rock act CN Blue. And their chemistry and contrasting characters made for a fun evening.
Vocalist and guitarist Jong-hyun is quiet and introverted, while bassist Jung-shin is cheerful and outgoing. At the beginning of the event, they appeared on a stage decorated to look like a boxing ring. Jong-hyun, who was dressed in black, stood in the blue corner and sang “Blind Love.” In the red corner, Jung-shin wore a bright pink shirt and sang “Manito,” a song which he wrote himself.
They played several games against each other and with fans. The game “Do you know me?” gave the audience a chance to find out more about their favourite stars. We learned that Jung-shin likes to drink Americano coffee. He also revealed that the member of CN Blue that impressed him the most during their first meeting was bandleader Yong-hwa. Meanwhile, Jong-hyun said his favourite drink is milk tea and the part of his body that he likes most are his eyes because they can't get fat.
During the final segment, fans gave them a cake and boxing gloves. The guys were overjoyed with their presents. They finished the evening with a rendition of “Young Forever.” Finally, the handsome duo said goodbye by giving everybody in the hall a high-five.

How does it feel to meet your Thai fans again?
Jong-hyun: Seeing so many fans makes me want to come back to perform a concert in Thailand soon.
Why did you decide to sing “Blind Love” and “Manito”?
Jung-shin: I wanted to sing a song I’d written. “Manito” was originally sung by Jong-hyun but today, I wanted to sing it myself.
Jong-hyun: I had no idea that I had to perform today. My manager asked me my top three CN Blue songs. “Blind Love” is one of them, so I chose to sing that.
Jung-shin, will you grow your hair long again?
Jung-shin: I will have to get a military haircut very soon. I may have to try hair extensions instead.
Jong-hyun, why did you get a cat?
Jong-hyun: I live by myself, so I sometimes feel lonely. I like my cat Lu because he doesn't bother me.
How about you, Jung-shin? Why did you get a dog?
Jung-shin: I’ve always liked golden retrievers, but my parents didn't allow me to have one. Now, I live by myself, so I was able to get Zimba.
