Operation Transformation leaders Barry and Andrea warned not to exercise after M8 car accident

Operation Transformation leaders Barry and Andrea have been advised not to do any exercise for two days after being involved in a car accident last week.

The Cork couple had a lucky escape after their car aquaplaned and left the M8 motorway.

The pair were on their way home from their weigh-ins for the RTE show in Offaly when the incident happened.

And expert Karl Henry has told Barry and Andrea to rest up following the accident.

In a clip released ahead of Wednesday's episode, Barry said: "We were going to go for small little walks just to be active. Nothing with the heart rate increasing."

But Karl insisted: "From an exercise perspective, I'm going to recommend that there is no exercise what so ever."

He added: "I was chatting with Sumi about this earlier on and she agreed with myself which is that for the next 48 hours that there is no movement what so ever.

"So you have permission to sit on the couch, watch a box set, eat really really healthily and hang out. We just need to see that the body is okay."

The couple didn't seemed to bothered by the recommendation, with the show jokingly tweeting: "Barry and Andrea were clearly very disappointed when @karlhenrypt told them they couldn't exercise for the week..."

What to do in a collision (Irish version)

Operation Transformation airs on RTE One at 9.35pm on Wednesday.
