Cops have arrested a fifth person in connection with a firebombing in Greenock last year.
The 23-year-old man was charged after a blaze was started at a home on Cumberland Road on September 19.
The man is due to appear in Greenock Sheriff Court today and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
The arrest marks the latest development in the Operation Tell investigation into the attacks.
Detective Superintendent Gerry McBride urged anyone with information into the attacks to come forward.
He said: “This is the fifth arrest and charge in connection with the incident at Cumberland Road and another significant development in our investigations into a number of fireraisings in the area.
“Enquiries remain ongoing and I would continue to urge anyone with information to contact police.”
