Australian young independent opera group Operantics - made up of senior students and classical performance graduates from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, the Australian Institute of Music and Newcastle Conservatorium of Music - stage their debut production of Mozart’s Cosi fan Tutte.
They transport Mozart’s comedy into the modern era, adding a hipster touch to a new inner city setting. The opera is performed in Italian, with English surtitles, and the backdrop is minimal, allowing the piece’s timeless themes to shine through.
