Shops such as Homebase, B&Q and Wilko have updated shoppers on their opening hours for the Bank Holiday weekend.
This year, early May bank holiday will be celebrated tomorrow (Friday, May 8) to mark the 75th anniversary of VE Day.
Those planning to have a weekend of DIY and gardening should be aware of opening hours at their nearest DIY store.

B&Q
All stores have the following opening hours:
Fri May 8 - 8am-6pm
Sat May 9 - 8am-6pm
Sun May 10 - 10am-4pm
Argos
Argos stores remain closed during lockdown, except those housed within Sainsbury's supermarkets.
Wilko
Each store operates different hours between 8am and 5pm across the weekend.
Wickes
Stores will open at 7am or 7.30am on Friday and Satutrday and will close at 4pm.
Branches are closed on Sunday.
The Range
Each store operates different hours - opening from 8am or 9am and closing at 6pm or 8pm on Friday and Saturday.
All stores should operate from 10.30am or 11am on Sunday to 4.30pm or 5pm.
Homebase
Each store operates different hours opening at either 9am our 10am on Friday and Saturday and closing at 6pm - and starting at 10am or 10.30am on Sunday until 4pm or 4.30pm.
