You could tell it wasn't far away when rain lashed down over Newcastle for much of last week and now The Hoppings is nearly here!
Europe's largest travelling funfair is always a massive hit when it descends on the Town Moor and this year should be no different with The Hoppings rides for this year including including the Bomber, MACH5, Exciter and Starflyer, Hoppings classic rides like the Skid cars and Big Wheel and plenty of ones suitable for younger children.
The Hoppings will get going on Friday, June 21 and invite people to enjoy all the fun of the fair for over a week, with its stint ending on Saturday, June 29.
Many people like to get to the fair early doors and if you have no plans for Friday afternoon, you'll be able to get an early slice of Hoppings action.
The Hoppings will open at 1pm on June 21, with an official opening ceremony taking place at 1.30pm in front of the Big Wheel.
The funfair will then be open from 1pm - 11pm every day and as well as the many rides on the Moor, including the return of the log flume, a huge range of food and drink will also be available.
