Collin Wilson, the College Football Predictive Analyst for the Action Network HQ has the No. 4 Bulldogs listed as a 10.5-point favorite over Notre Dame. Georgia beat the Irish in South Bend in 2017 by the score of 20-19. In that game, Georgia, which was a five-point underdog, was led by freshman quarterback Jake Fromm starting his first game.
Last season, No. 3 Notre Dame lost to Clemson 30-3 in the college football playoff semifinals. No. 5 Georgia fell to Texas in the Sugar Bowl.
Kirby Smart and company will be seeking a typical late summer, north Georgia day for the game…. 87 degrees, a high sun and about 85% humidity would be a nice setting for the green and gold midwesterners.
