Opening of new Cross Gates JD Wetherspoon pub delayed again

A new Wetherspoon pub opening in Leeds has been hit with delays again.

The opening of the Charles Henry Roe, in Cross Gates, was due to happen on March 24.

A spokesperson for the popular bar chain has confirmed to us the new pub will be open to the public from Tuesday, April 7 instead. It follows weeks of uncertainty after the contractors went into administration.

For those of you who can't wait for it to open we have had a sneak peek at some CGI images of the plans for the Charles Henry Roe to how the venue will appear.

JD Wetherspoon faced a long battle with Leeds City Council in its discussions to open the Cross Gates pub.

We'll bring you more information on the new opening when we get it.
